Romantisme Noir, Arts Sombres, Doom et Black Metal

Une reprise, ou plutôt une adaptation de "What a Wonderful World" par le groupe de Black Metal anglais The Meads of Asphodel. Plutôt pas mal, je dois dire !

C'est extrait de l'album "Damascus Steel" (2005).

Cradle Of Filth a récemment resorti son dernier album - en y ajoutant quelques chansons - sous le nom "Harder, Darker, Faster : Thornography Deluxe".

Il y a en fait six chansons de plus, "Murder In The Thirst', "The Snake-Eyed And The Venomous", "Halloween II" (reprise des Misfits), "Courting Baphomet", "Stay" (reprise de Shakespeare's Sister) et "Devil To The Metal".

Je vous propose de découvrir "Stay". Sur cette version figure Sarah Jezebel Deva, mais sachez qu'une autre version avec Dirty Harry, la chanteuse qui figure sur la chanson "Temptation" (reprise de Heaven 17), est également disponible.

Il n'y a pas longtemps j'ai posté un titre de Metallica repris par In Flames, cette fois-ci c'est Moonsorrow qui s'y colle avec une reprise de "For Whom The Bell Tolls". Cette chanson figure sur le dernier Ep du groupe, "Tulimyrsky" ("orage de feu" en français) mais a été enregistrée en 2005.

On remarquera que Moonsorrow a su garder l'esprit de la chanson tout en y ajoutant des parties qui ne sont pas dans la chanson originale. Un peu comme le fait Cradle Of Filth quand ils font une reprise, ils reprennent la chanson à leur sauce. Du coup, l'intérêt est double.

Bref, j'espère que vous aimerez cette reprise autant que moi.

Je suis récemment tombé sur cette reprise de Metallica, "Eye Of The Beholder" tirée de l'album "...And Justice For All". In Flames donne la pleine mesure de son talent, et même si vocalement je préfère Hetfield, peut-être parce que j'y suis trop habitué, il faut avouer que musicalement c'est du grand art, surtout sur la partie solo avec les claviers. La chanson prend une tout autre dimension.

Une reprise de The Doors "Light My Fire" revue et corrigée façon Doom/Death. Je viens de la découvrir et je la trouve plutôt pas mal et pourtant dieu sait que je suis un grand fan de The Doors.
